Should be fairly easy to remove and replace the ssd in the blade, theres only 10 screws holding the back on and then you will need to remove the battery to access the ssd. just make sure that that one isn't too long. here is a tear down. For the 2015 razer blade, the new gtx 970m is now pushing pixels, which should give a nice jump in performance as well as keep the temperatures in check while gaming. the next upgrade is the cpu.. I am looking at buying a razer 2015 with 512gb. i wanted to get the stock ssd stats to see if it's worth buying the 256gb version and upgrade directly to a samsung 850 evo m.2. i can't seem to find the stock ssd information for the 2015 version anywhere..
Overall, upgrading the razer blade's ssd is not necessary, but it is a nice option to have to either increase storage or get overall improved read and write times. just make sure you allocate a. Razer blade | base model and mercury edition. new configurations, a new color, and a new starting price. sadly the ssd pricing is overpriced compared others and a massive shame for not letting us upgrade the ram / ssd w/o voiding the warranty. yes the 950 evo will work if you are talking about the blade stealth. the blade 14 2015 will.
